Editable Home Page Centerboxes

Editable Centerboxes is a simple module which adds three editable "centerboxes" to the home page. I got the idea because I was trying to do something similar to this: * http://osc.template-help.com/wt_27414/index.html * http://osc.template-help.com/wt_26807/index.html One of these days I hope to figure out how to use this to show specific sideboxes in the center content area. (The Testimonials sidebox for example) In the meantime this module will give store owners the ability to edit and manage the content in these boxes Each box has an associated defined page which can be edited using the defined pages editor. The included stylesheet allows you to modify the look and feel of these boxes. Please note that the height of each box is fixed (and controlled in the stylesheet). I've been messing around with using CSS so that the height of all three boxes is dynamic and controlled by the height of the longest box. (Still working on that..) In the meantime, it's easy enough to modify the box height. Just remember, in order for the page to look good, these boxes aren't meant to hold PAGES of content anyway.. Ready to get started? V2.0: Middleboxes can now be individually set to appear in any of the seven middlebox group locations. You can choose to allow middleboxes to appear on internal category listing pages. You can easily move a middlebox group location to another position or page (requires simple file editing). |

- Addition of the dynamic "middlebox" controller code (thanks to Glenn Herbert AKA gjh42!!!). Because the "middlebox" code is now in its own file it just has to be called by the relevant tpl_index_ files (much simpler and more elegant solution!). - Now supports up to NINE "middleboxes". - "Middleboxes" are now admin configurable. You can set the position of the "middleboxes" on the main page, and you can set the number of "middleboxes" to display (from 1 - 9). |
