COWOA - CheckOut WithOut an Account. (for Zen Cart 1.3.9) This mod lets your customer checkout without having to register an account on your store. It comes with a couple of additional (optional) modifications that let you see who used COWOA to checkout with and let's those customers who used COWOA to still be able to track the Order Status of their order by using the e-mail name they used during checkout and the OrderID number. Originally written by KGZotU (Joe Schilz)back in February 2007 and has been modified a few times by others. The additional mods authors are listed in their readme files. JTheed never uploaded this version so I am. Added missing code in the customer table in Admin Customers screen where the No Account was not showing up and changed the heading to say Account Type. This column now shows COWOA or STANDARD. Payment screen is no longer skipped if 0 balance in cart. Was causing a problem. |

Version 2.0c ADDITION: Added the ability to turn on and off a forced logoff (Kill Session) for COWOA Customers after a sucessful checkout. FORCED LOGOFF will cause customer to wait until they get an order status update e-mail to download a file purchase of any type. ADDITION: COWOA Customer can look around the store by reconnecting using the Order Status Update Login, but if they try to purchase an item, there session will expire. They should not be able to buy when connecting this way as they have NO Account information stored. CHANGE: Removed the Welcome E-Mail that COWOA customers were receiving. (modified /includes/modules/YOUR_TEMPLATE/no_account.php CHANGE: If the Cart has a 0 Balance (Free File or whatever is free) the Payment Screen is skipped. CHANGE: Changed text. Instead of Detailed Invoice, it will say 'Click here to check the Status of your order' for COWOA Customer. (Thanks to webchills) ADDITIONAL SQL: There is now a 3rd SQL file if you already have COWOA 2.0a or b to update to 2.0c BUG FIX: Status Updates are now sent without link if Enable Status Emails set to false. (Thanks to philip937) NOTE: To abide by the OverRide settings, no files should be changed directly in the /includes/modules folder or the template_default/templates folder. All of the files should go into YOUR_TEMPLATE folders under modules and templates. You may want to edit the file /includes/languages/english/YOUR_TEMPLATE/time_out.php and add text to your liking. |

2.0b Date: August 20, 2010 BUG FIX: Bug that would not let a COWOA customer become a Regular Customer due to duplicate e-mail address.(If you have installed 1.9 or 2.0a, just copy the file includes/modules/create_account.php over you existing file) BACK IT UP FIRST!!! 2.0a Date: August 14, 2010 Additions: Added the ability to turn on and off the E-Mail Only function to configuration file. Now, your COWOA customers that have a 0 Cart Balance during checkout will only have to submit an e-mail address in the checkout process. See Update from 1.9 instructions. |

Your COWOA Customer that has a Cart with a 0 Balance will now only have to enter an E-Mail Address during the checkout process. This is useful for file downloads that have NO Cost. If they add an item with a cost to it, then they will still get the normal COWOA checkout screen. This feature can be turned on or off in the configuration screen. Update from Version 1.9 instructions included in install.txt file. Also added the ability for the COWOA Customer to choose HTML or Text E-Mail. |

Fixed a major bug where customers were not able to download the file(s) on their order when using the order status email link. Added instructions in the install.txt file for updating if you already have a previous version of this COWOA installed. |

This update cleans up the submission quite a bit. It also COMBINES the add-ons to the install. This includes, the Admin Index screen to show how many customers used COWOA, The Order Process Mod and the ability to send e-mails ono the order status to the COWOA Account holder after they place an order. You now have the option to turn COWOA and Order Status E-Mails to COWOA Customers on or off. I take no credit in writing this mod, just combining and testing it on 1.3.9c and PHP 5.3x REMEMBER, always backup your database and files before adding any modification.
