I put in place an index.html under construction page while I was editing my new site. Now that every thing is ready for production I went in to remove the construction page to go live and an index of my root directory is visible when I go to my url. I replaced the construction html to hide the index of my site. The index of my site was still visible. I had to put the construction index.html at the server level to hide the site index. Question one, is there supposed to be an index.php file at the server level? Question two, do I need to do any thing special to get the site to appear instead of the site index when I remove a dummy index.html. I was trying to figure out why emails were not being sent to new account signups and thought the dummy index.html was the reason. Since I was done editing and ready to go I figured I would remove the construction page and leave it live hoping that the email issue would be resolved. Somehow I think this is bigger than just taking out the dummy index.html page. Emails are being sent to my admin account but not to customers. Would greatly appreciate any help I can get with this. Thanks.
