v151 USPS Module not producing estimates; UPS working; Production mode on & USPS verified

Hi there,

I'm taking over a store that's been having problems with USPS shipping due to faulty maintenance by the last web developer. I had a new username issued through USPS Web Tool Registration Notice. I uninstalled and reinstalled the USPS shipping module. When that didn't work, I updated the USPS shipping module to USPS RateV4 and IntlRateV2 Shipping Module (http://www.zen-cart.com/downloads.php?do=file&id=1267). I called USPS a second time to make sure the RateCalculator was active... all of this to no avail. UPS is working fine, so I have no clue why USPS is not working.

FREE SHIPPING! Module with no shipping zone

Hello,

I just want to double check that my shipping settings are correct.
I want to offer free shipping to all US States. Here are my settings:

-I only have free shipping! module installed.
-the shipping zone for that module is set to none.
here are the settings:
Enable Free Shipping
True

Free Shipping Cost
0.00

Handling Fee
0

Tax Class
--none--

Shipping Zone
--none--

Sort Order
0

-finally, all my products are set up to "Yes, Always Free Shipping" radio button for Always Free Shipping setting.

This should allow all customers that purchase from the US to have free shipping correct?

Shipping Page & Modules Disappeared

Hello,

I was trying to change the wording on my shipping page and suddenly the entire shipping page and module has disappeared. I have done this before and I don't understand what happened or how to get my shipping page back. Please help!

I went into includes/languages/english/modules/shipping then flat.php to change the wording. I save the sheet then when I went to verify my changes on the website, the entire shipping page is empty (nothing at all). I went to my admin page Modules/Shipping and half of the shipping options that were there before are missing and when I click on a shipping method, it does not open up for editing like it used to.

Can someone please help me get my shipping page back? Something went wrong with the modules but I don't understand what happened.

Thank you so very much for any advice!! Maybe I need to reinstall the modules all over and restart? (But where do I reinstall the shipping modules?)

v139h Problem Configuring extra fee on Cash On Delivery

Hello,

I would like to add some extra cost when customers select the Cash On Delivery Method.

For example for zone 1 the extra cost will be 2 euros
for zone 2 will be 3 euros.

But if they choose other payment methods ex paypal I don't want to add extra fee.

Is it possible. Any suggestion Please.

I would like to ask you something,

I want to configure shipping like the above

for zone 1 if the items weight is 5kgs and above the cost is 10 euro
for each extra Kg over the 5Kg it should be added a cost of 2 euro per 1Kg.

and
for zone 2 if the items weight is 5kgs and above the cost is 16 euro
for each extra Kg over the 5Kg it should be added a cost of 3 euro per 1Kg.

Any suggestions on how I can configure this in zen cart?

Hello all -

Currently running on v1.5.1. Looking to designate for weights for store items. Is there a way to batch process this? I would really love to select a whole category and designate them as "x weight."

In addition, is there a way to easily designate what kind of mailer you want or don't want?

ie. I want product Y to be in a padded envelope because it weighs 6 ounces.

v150 Table Rate calculating incorrectly - help please!

My client wishes to ship their items in grams rather lb and requires a table rate solution for shipping.

I have changed the unit of weight from lb to grams and changed this in the following 3 files:

inc>lang>english.php
inc>lang>english>modules>shipping>zones.php
admin>inc>lang>english.php

In the table rate settings I have set up the following configuration:

100:2.50,250:3.75,500:4.50

So in my mind what I think I have set up is that for up 100g the cost is �2.50, up to 250g the cost is �3.75 and up to 500g the cost is �4.50.

HOWEVER, I have created a test product and put the weight as 100, but when I go to checkout the price it is showing for table rate shipping is �5.00.

I have checked the shipping option under configuration and cannot see anything in here which would affect the price as the tare and larger packages options are set to 0.

Anyone have any ideas please why and where it is getting �5.00 from?

Shipping problem with combination of Table rates and Percentage

Hi, I'm trying to set up my shipping in the table in a smiliar manner in the below example:
upto $50 customers get charged $10
upto $100, customers get charged $15
upto 200, customers get charged $20
anything over 300, customers get charged 5%

Here's my problem: I get everything else working except for the percentage....i'm not sure why it's not working :( :no::frusty:

I'm attempting to install the latest version of the USPS Shipper (March 27, 2013). I'm getting a message:

Nothing has been selected for Quotes.

I don't see anything in the setup that would seem to be related to this. Where should I be looking?

v151 Pre-defined shipping rates within one country - how?

Hi there,
I've been tearing my hair out over this one for a few days now, and even after crawling the net for hours I'm no closer to a solution. Basically I have a customer that only ships within New Zealand, and wants the to select from a number of shipping options; ie, regular or courier, and which part of the country they're in. Currently they just have a drop-down, like this:

They won't be charging on number of items, weights, or anything else, just the criteria the customer selects getting tacked on to the final price - actually I want to disable any calculating completely. We don't really have any states or etc to consider either.

Now how on earth do I do that? I suspect I'm being rather stupid... =P

(I'd also like it to come up as a drop-down, but if I have to settle for radio buttons I won't complain at this point)

Two items in stock, customer orders 3, order is processed for 3 and stock is adjusted to -1 (minus 1). Where does the problem lie, how can it be overcome?

v151 Using dual table rates in Zones

I've been using dual table rates for a while to ship at two diffent rates in the UK - Royal Mail or a more expensive Courier based on weight. The customer can select and everything is sweet.

Now, we're moving into Europe, and need to use Zone Shipping. I've set up zone 1 for GB, and Zone 2 for all the European Countries I want, both work fine with their independent table rates.

How can I add a second table rate to the UK though? Europe is just one price option, but I need to offer the two different rates to the UK.

v139h Why is it always charging UPS ground?

I have a problem with the modules. They show up for the customers and the ups rates even display. But no matter what option a customer selects it automatically charges them ups ground.

I've uninstalled them all and reinstalled them a few times and they all have different priorities.

wrong shipping price for Indonesia

I have pretty simple setup with shipping. 48 US Lower states get table rate of $6, and the rest of world is being charged based on UPS prices. I got an order from Indonesia paid via paypal where customer got charged $6 for shipping. When i am trying to put same item into my cart and that address and test estimator i get worldwide saver at $91.00. So i was just wondering how did the customer got $6 ?
