Anyone else having problems because AUTHORIZE.NET is down?
Apparently 3 hours ago their system went down. Their website is down and their support #(877) 447-3938 only plays a message that they are closed for the holidays..... Anyone know another way to contact them?

Seems the same here.
A shhopper emailed me 7:00 CDT. Can't access their website either. Seems bad. |

Did some checking. Wikipedia says they are located in Utah.. Not sure if that is true or not. Utah Tribune indicated some serious weather last night..
I would suggest you try to call your bank contact that you have your merchant # with and see if they can get ahold of Authorize.net... That's what I am trying to do at the moment...

This is the worst I've seen from AuthNet, several hours offline and an on vacation voicemail, WTF?!!
Generally I've been happy with AuthNet, but when the s hits the f, then they're not terribly responsive -- unlikely they are closed for the holiday, probably scrambling their collective arses off trying to sort out the problem, whatever it is. Hope they get back up and running shortly, east coast customers are writing in now and will only get worse later in the day |

Same here, no response from their authorize.net website or their payment gateway, they are both down.
Incredibly frustrating, how can they be closed any day when then process credit cards 24/7 businesses relay on them!!!! (answer message when you call) Does anyone know if they are at least attempting to fix the problem? Our site is down until they are back up. Any one know anything why authorize.net is down? |

I do remember seeing a "We'll be closed on July 3rd for the holidays" message when I logged into their site yesterday afternoon to refund a customer for a purchase.... When I saw that their site was down at 4 am (CT) this morning and knowing they weren't going to be open didn't give me a good feeling...
I have two bank contacts trying to get ahold of Authorize.net. Hope they don't have their servers hooked up to a circuit that is controlled by a light switch next to their front door.... "Last one out hit the lights..."

I'm on indefinite call hold on one of their support lines. At least it isn't shunting me to voicemail with a "we're closed for the holiday" message.

Keep us posted with an ETA I have 5 sites down
Been a couple years this is the worst yet. Seems like they would have better redundancy At least its a slow day |
