How to install a new template?

hello I have doubts to change my template.
First ,I did download of a template here on this site, and I uploaded to a folder that I created on the desktop.
then I used filezilla to upload the files to panel control of zencart.
I dragged the folder that I created for the zencart templates folder .... so, will have done something wrong?? because nothing appeared on the control panel Zen cart ...
someone can help me?

If you put the folder your new template is in into your "includes/templates" directory of your zencart store, you should see the name of the new template under the zencart admin panel at "tools>template selection". Once you get to that page, click the "edit" button and select the template you want to use.

Just added to the note above make sure you have a 'template_info.php' in your chosen template.

If you do not have this file, you need one otherwise it wont show up in the admin.

You can just copy and modify the one from the default or classic template, or (I would suggest) getting hold of the original that came with your template...

This file is located in includes>templates>your_template if you don't see it there, you need it!
