Can I do this with products and Attributes?

Hello
I am wondering if this section can be minimized. Like right now I have each product listed with each size listed. I just want to have the item listed so its easier to read.

ie) NOW

Pink Dog Shirt
xsmall 3
small 2
Medium 2
Large 1

Purple sweater
xmsall 1
medium 2

what I want it to look like is,

Pink Dog shirt

Purple sweater

can this be done? where i would then click the item to open the quanities? It would just make it easier to read.

Are the Pink Dog shirt and Purple sweater in the same category?

Yes in some cases, others no.
