No "save server settings" button during install?!?
Hi all, I uploaded zen 1.3.0.1 to unix hosting (at godaddy.com), and having installation issues. It is a clean fresh install, no upgrade, first time Zen Cart is on the server.
First of all, I have looked through all issues on the forum but couldn't find relevant answers. Now, after a whole day I think I am allowed to post a question :-) (Also, I had no problems CHMOD using my FTP program, as I read in other postings) When I run the installer, "all" is well except warnings the following: Register globals = ON and MySQL version = Unknown both are marked as warnings and are not fatal (well, maybe they are!) When I click next and review the physical and virtual servers, I am supposed to click "save server settings", but there is no such button. In the right bottom of the screen there is a tick box with "yes" and a blank field?? I tried IE and FF, to no avail. zc_install/techsupp.index tells me that godaddy is running PHP 4.3.11 Mysql (client Api version?) 3.23.49, Godaddy's faq pages tell me 4.0.24 I have also posted a request to godaddy's help desk. Any ideas are highly appreciated!!!! thanks so much in advance |

Further to my previous post,
when I run the installer locally(on my pc), I end up on the same screen, the information MISSING when I install on my server is (just underneath the virtual HTTPS path section): Enable SSL ---------------------yes/no Would you like to enable Secure Sockets Layer in Customer area? Leave this set to NO unless you're SURE you have SSL working. more info... YES NO Enable SSL in Admin Area-----------------------yes/no Would you like to enable Secure Sockets Layer for Admin areas? Leave this set to NO unless you're SURE you have SSL working. more info... and the "save system settings" button below Could this be a corrupted or incomplete script? thanks |

It seems that perhaps some of the files in your zc_install folder/subfolders may not have uploaded properly. Perhaps refreshing them by re-uploading may solve the problem

It is solved, the first re-upload over the existing upload didn't make a difference, so I deleted the lot from the server, re-uploaded, and everything is fine!
So topic can be closed, thanks |
