    Flash in header? Possible?

    Hi all,

    I am completely new to ZenCart and php.
    I am having some problems understanding the customisation of my pages, so please if you explain this, could you be explicit.

    Can I have a flash swf file instead of my store image in the header, and if yes, how can I install it?

    www.inekesfashions.com.au/testing/flash/ineke frontpage banner.swf

    Above is a link to the file I like to use.

    Many thanks,

    Goshawk

    Hi,

    I have been able to access the banner manager, and have created a new banner, by pasting the <OBJECT> bla bla </OBJECT> tags in the html section, and created a new banner group called HeadBanner.

    Now how can I get this to display on my page?

    Again, many thanks,

    Goshawk

    Used this in my tpl_header.php
    <object type="application/x-shockwave-flash" data="includes/templates/XXX/UUU/ZZZ.swf" width="100%" height="100">
    <param name="movie" value="includes/templates/XXX/UUU/ZZZ.swf" /><param name="quality" value="high"><param name="BGCOLOR" value="#000000"><param name="menu" value="false">
    </object>
    Works like a charm

    Thanks guys,

    I used the following code, and it works a treat, now I only have to reorganise everything that shows above the banner, and for some reason, my body displays on the right of the banner, hope I will be able to get that sorted,

    <object classid="clsid27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000" codebase="http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=7,0,19,0" width="780" height="140" align="left">
    <param name="movie" value="http://www.xyz.com/xyz/flash/banner.swf" />
    <param name="quality" value="high" />
    <embed src="http://www.xyz.com/xyz/flash/banner.swf" quality="high" pluginspage="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="780" height="140"></embed>
    </object>

    Again great to see your quick response and help,

    Goshawk

    Idea or Suggestion Re: Flash in header? Possible?

    I also have a Flash banner embeded in the template header of http://www.splatcooking.net. It worked fine in Safari (Mac), Firefox & Opera (Mac and Windows) but not in IE6. I read this article http://www.adobe.com/devnet/activeco...devletter.html and put the javascript files in mytemplate/common.

    Everything working ok now.

    Hope this helps anyone else with a similar problem.
