Show products on page OTHER than categories
I have a category with some flash in the description. http://www.estore.haskellgraphics.co...index&cPath=73
It eats up a good portion of the space.
Then the products are listed under that
Is there a way to add a href to the cat title " Custom murals " to display the products on a new page and remove them from the Category page.
I just want the category page to show the flash. Just on that page the other pages will be normal ( when I get it done one day )
Thankyou.
Re: Show products on page OTHER than categories
How are you going to get to the products?

Make a category called "Murals"
Don't put the products in that category.
Make a subcategory under "Murals" called "Custom Murals"
Put the flash in the first "Murals" description box.
Add the products to the subcategory "Custom Murals".
Now when they click on "Murals", they'll see the flash, and they'll have a link "Custom Murals" to go to the products.
Re: Show products on page OTHER than categories
Thanks man. That did what I was looking for. Sometimes I look too far into it when theres a simple solution.
However now I am presented with another problem I didn't forsee.
The link is UNDER the flash. I need the href above the flash and I dont know how to reposition it to be above it?
Any idea?
Its probably as simple as moving it position wise in a tpl or css somewhere:cry:
Re: Show products on page OTHER than categories
Again simple just didn't hit me at first. Just added the href in the category description in html.
Code:
<br /><br /><div style="TEXT-ALIGN: center"><font face="tahoma,arial,helvetica,sans-serif" size="5"><strong><A href="http://www.estore.haskellgraphics.com/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=73_75">Custom Murals<br /></strong></font><br /></div><object type="application/x-shockwave-flash" height="300" width="100%" data="http://www.estore.haskellgraphics.com/includes/templates/haskellgraphics/flash/PageOneFlash.swf"><param value="includes/templates/haskellgraphics/flash/PageOneFlash.swf" name="movie" /><param value="high" name="quality" /><param value="false" name="menu" /></object>
No need to edit templates or css.
Hope this helps someone.
