ERROR: admin/includes/configure.php file not found
HELP!
First of all... TIA for any support, help and wisdom
I have uploaded all my zencart/catalog files to my ftp, and changead the specified files to 777 permissions (went over them 4+ times).
But still I get the following message when I try to access and install: ERROR: admin/includes/configure.php file not found.
I double check my ftp files, and the files ARE in there, perfectly... so what is happening?
I'm sure (hoping at least) this is an easy fix that my overworked brain just CANNOT grasp... but please help, if possible:shocking:
thank you SO much... I'm fried
Re: ERROR: admin/includes/configure.php file not found
and.. when I try http://mydomain.com/catalogs/zc_install
I have all my files set to 777.. so confused :dontgetit
I get this message:
Forbidden
You don't have permission to access /catalog/zc_install/ on this server.
Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

Re: ERROR: admin/includes/configure.php file not found
1. Are you installing on a Windows server? Or a Linux server? (you posted this in the Windows section, but your messages say Apache, which is more commonly on Linux servers).
2. What other warnings are you seeing on the System Inspection page of the installer?
3. Does your hosting company require you to use 755 instead of 777 when making folders writable?
4. Are there any additional details in the Apache errorlog for your hosting account? Those should explain more of what's happening behind the "you don't have permission to access" message.
5. What folder do you upload your Zen Cart "catalog" folder into?
6. Who's your hosting company?
