Duplicate settings in admin configuration
I have started building a fresh store in a test directory using 1.3.8a and added the following:
Cherry Zen Template
Add Customers From Admin v1.6
Admin Login As Customer v2.0 w/ Master Password
Backup MySQL
Improved Attributes Controller
Sales Report rev104
Search Log 2.0
UPSXML
TY Package Tracker
Imagehandler 2
Stock By Attributes 4.7 AJAX
Lightbox
Export Shipping Information 1.2.3
CSS Flyout Menu
I have the layout the way that I want it and added all of my text to my EZ Pages and defined pages.
I was starting to go through both the old and new admin panels to make sure that all settings are where I want them and discovered some oddities immediately.
Under configuration>product listing the rows for 'Product Listing - Layout Style' and 'Product Listing -Columns Per Row' are both listed twice.
Then under configuration>stock the row 'Show available stock level in cart when less than order' is listed three times.
I stopped to post here at that point. I just want to figure out why this is happening and correct it before I get any deeper into this project. I really do not want to start from scratch again. I am off now to see if there are any more duplicates to be found.

Re: Duplicate settings in admin configuration
Come on guys, I can not be the first person to have experienced this. I am attaching pics of what I am seeing. Please take a look and let me know what might be happening.

Re: Duplicate settings in admin configuration
Firebug helped me to figure out that it is using configuration ID 748 and 1088 for the Product listing - layout syle glitch.
Also that it is using configuration ID 749 and 1086 for the Product listing - columns per row glitch.
On the Stock page it is configuration ID 946, 967 and 968.
I am not sure if I should delete some of the extra fields in the DB and if so which ones? I know that there is a DB wizard out there someplace that can help me.

Re: Duplicate settings in admin configuration
Apparently, as you've figured out, something you've done has added duplicates.
Go and delete the duplicates from the database, and carry on. Things on the "Configuration" menu are in the "configuration" table. Sort it by configuration_key, and find your duplicates and remove the extras ... I suggest deleting the higher-numbered records when you find a duplicate.
If you want to know "what" has created the duplicates, start from scratch again and add your addons one-by-one, checking for duplicates each time ... and then do something about those duplicates.
Re: Duplicate settings in admin configuration
Thank you. That was what I was thinking but I wanted to be sure before I started messing with the DB. I am going to look through the sql. files in the addons and just make some notes as to which contributions were the culprits.
Thanks again,
Marc
