'Getting' currency symbol from database
A mod I'm using (product_filter_by_attribute_and_price_range) takes the following from a php language file:
PHP Code:
define('PRANGE1_WORD','Under $10');
Rather than having a fixed $ symbol I want the symbol to change according to the currency of the website.
I've tried to find examples in the zen cart code but can't find anything obvious that I can use. I assume that I will need to call from a database table but probably can't do that within the 'define (' ')' parameter.
Will I have to reference a custom .php file for this?
Not really sure where to start.
Re: 'Getting' currency symbol from database
Actually, thinking about it some more. This price range filter isn't going to work for currencies where there are a large number of currency units to say the dollar. i.e less than 10 yen for example wouldn't be of much use.
I'll have to have a rethink.
Re: 'Getting' currency symbol from database
Just an update for anyone who's interested.
I'm actually using Multisite add-on - creating multiple sites (country dependent) using a single template but displaying country-specific product listings. There is an option in Multisite to load 'Defines' individually, on a site-by-site basis.
So, I am able to specify the currency prefix for this filter, by site, but using one template.
