Your frontend is not showing the message that your DB needs upgrading
So check your configure.php files for the correct DB being used
Use phpmyadmin and check the admin table for user name

Ok I found phpmyadmin and I found admin_pass it is aprx 70 characters long. that doesn't look correct . it did not work either.

I did not want you to seek the pass as it is encrypted just to see if the user name you are using was there

And as far as configure.php, verify that the same database information in both includes/configure.php is the same as the database information in admin/includes/configure.php. That includes the database as well as the DB_PREFIX and all other aspects of constants that begin with DB_

I thank you for pointing me in the correct direction.
The password was causing more issues so I enlisted the help from Host Gator. It took a bit of working, but all is well.
