Does anyone know how to do this
Hi, I'm a digital graphic designer and really want to use zen cart as I have before but does anyone know how to integrate zen into their overall website design? Here is an example of what I'm talking about. Go check out the site below for this is what I'm wanting to do to my website but have no clue what all I'm supposed to change in order for it to work this way. Help please if ya know. :)

ALSO...I would want to be able to do the mouse over on products as she does. If you mouse over her thumbs, it shows you a bigger photo before clicking the product.
Thanks!
Re: Does anyone know how to do this
the mouse over can be done with image handler, its an addon thats availabel in the download section
as far as integrating zen cart into your current site,
the best way is to make your zen cart LOOK like your current site,
this is done by creating a custom template, directions are inthe wiki
Re: Does anyone know how to do this
Ok, I've downloaded the image handler so far and I've been to the wiki but I'm a little confused on some things.
Am I supposed to copy files from the classic folder or the template_default folder? I'm wanting to do my own thing with my own graphics for header, footer, background, buttons, category nav, search nav, etc.
I was reading the wiki and was going step by step on making my own folder and copy the files it told me to copy so I can customize those but since I'm using the template_default, it doesn't give me the option of a header image, or footer image...just logo and a tile_back.
I'm wanting to make my whole header an image, perhaps even an image map, at 800 px by maybe 200 px tall. The footer I'm wanting to make 800 px by 100 or so.
I'm not finding in the stylesheet, where this info is located. So I'm wondering if I copied the wrong files to my custom folder. Also, this would be for an override like I read...don't know if that makes a difference or not.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
Re: Does anyone know how to do this
To create a very basic custom template (you can build from there), you need:
- includes/languages/YOUR_TEMPLATE/english.php
- includes/languages/english/YOUR_TEMPLATE/index.php
- includes/languages/english/YOUR_TEMPLATE/header.php (to change the logo)
- includes/templates/YOUR_TEMPLATE/template_info.php
- includes/templates/YOUR_TEMPLATE/common/tpl_header.php
- includes/templates/YOUR_TEMPLATE/common/tpl_footer.php
- includes/templates/YOUR_TEMPLATE/images/logo.gif
- includes/templates/YOUR_TEMPLATE/css/stylesheet.css
Anywhere you see a /classic/ folder, you can create a folder for your custom template. You can copy the necessary files from either the /classic/ folder, the /template_default/ folder or the parent folder.
Edit includes/templates/YOUR_TEMPLATE/template_info.php to give your template identifying information so you'll recognize it in the admin under tools->template selection.
HTH!

The biggest mistake we all make is trying to run before we can walk. I suggest you play around with Zen Cart a bit before you try to do major customizations. Start simple, get the hang of it and then let your imagination run.
