you need to upload your PEM file
I agree with merlin about the PEM file. If you don't have one or it contains invalid data or is not readable, you'll have problems.
Sammy, did you put a PEM file in includes/modules/payment/linkpoint_api?
And does the filename match the number you entered in admin->Modules->Payment->LinkPoint
for the Merchant ID?
Thanks to everybody for their responses to this thread, I appreciate it.
swguy, I think your on to something. For some reason I was using a different number for the pem file. Now I entered the merchant id number.pem, which is in the admin section of the linkpoint module and I get a different error now:
SGS-020005: Error (Merchant config file is missing, empty or cannot be read). https://webhostcontact.com/zencart/i...ns/warning.gif Your card has been declined. Please re-enter your card information, try another card, or contact the store owner for assistance.
server responds: ErrNo:0 server responds: SGS-020005: Error (Merchant config file is missing, empty or cannot be read).

THank you
I think you want simply the merchant number in that field (e.g. 123456). Try that.
I dont have .pem in the admin section, only the number. The file I uploaded has the .pem extension.
Thank you
So ... please confirm ....
a. you've entered your account number (ie: 123456) in the Linkpoint module settings
b. you've uploaded the 123456.pem (.pem is lowercase) file from Linkpoint into the /includes/modules/payment/linkpoint_api/ folder
c. the 123456.pem file is world-readable.
That is correct. I have a store number and a merchant id number from linkpoint. I put the merchant id number is the two spots like you described. I uploaded via cuteftp in auto mode and also tried binary mode. The permissions are set to 644 for the .pem file.
Thank you very much
1. What happens if you set the .pem file permissions to 755 or 777 temporarily for a test?
2. Do you have any .htaccess files in any of these folders?:
- /
- /includes
- /includes/modules
- /includes/modules/payment
- /includes/modules/payment/linkpoint_api
If so, please rename them one at a time to htaccess_OFF and test again.
Tried it all with no luck. Would this error message occur if port 1129 were not open? I opened it in the firewall and restarted it but did not test it.
Do you know ssh commands to test and see if the port is open the way its supposed to be?
Thank you
