Header image won't change with new upload!

I'm so frustrated... I changed my logo and it worked great. Now I want a new logo with some colour (didn't have time last time) and for some reason, every time I upload the new header, it reverts to the old one.

Things I have tried...
1) Deleting the old file, then uploading the new file
2) Changing the permissions to 777 on the old file, then uploading the new one with a different name and then re-naming it to the original header name.
3) Using Filezilla to FTP the image and over-write the old one
4) Changing the new file to permissions 777 and then re-naming to the header file
5) Uploading new file same name as header and over-writing it

Nothing seems to work... what am I doing wrong? HELP!!!
I'm sure it's simple and I'm just not getting it...

Are you sure you're uploading to the correct directory? Have you refreshed the screen after uploading the new image?

Yes, I decided to change the image name in CSS as per the zen cart faqs and now I get a white box.... hmmmm I've tried the image as a .png and now .jpg and same white box.

I should say that when I view my file in the file manager, it's fine and the correct file (before it kept changing back to the old one).

i'm having the same problem and i'm pulling my hair out. I am using a redirect from my main domain to my second domain with the store and I don't know if that's causing the problem. I've uploaded the new logo.gif and the header_bg.jpg and even left them the same dimensions as the original. I've read all the docs and replaced in the correct folder but I can't get either to display - just keeps showing the zencart logo. I've searched the forum and can't find anything. appreciate any help.

With links to both your sites we might be able to see something here that might help

sorry, after 2 days of pulling hair out - it was that i had the redirect pointing to zencart/index.php instead of zencart/ so when i took the index.php out it went away!
