Ultimate Cross Sell Scalability

I'm about to get pretty deep into using the Related Items portion of the Ultimate Cross Sell add-on. We'll start with adding about 11,000 products, each with about 80 to 150 related products. That's a fair number of entries into the cross sell database table (number 3), and I'm quite worried about having to update and maintain these lists.

There's already about 13,000 products in the store, with minimal related items configured, but we now have to get into this in a big way.

Anybody dealt with large amounts of related items with the Ultimate Cross Sell module yet? Care to share experiences?
