Using Text from Attribute to display on product image

Hi all,

I'm playing with an idea of allowing customers to see a preview of a text customization option on our products.

My thought is to have the attribute entered and then hopefully pull this text to display on a product image via a pop-up.

I was wondering if anyone has everyone completed something like this previously?

Any advice would be appreciated.
