Question about admin hit counter? Please Help
Hi, I have noticed something very weird with my hit counter and maybe somone knows more about it than me.
Just yesterday it read 07/05/2007 502 - 1257 this dosn't seem to accurate to me because even if I had 502 hits even at the lowest my google analytics is only showing me having 4,241 Pageviews from june 5th to july 5th. I installed it on one of my pages from there site with java code. It was just a copy and paste.
So is the admin hits accurate? This is what it is showing for total hits in 1 month on my admin zen cart hits Hit Counter: 90965 The other day it told me I had
07/02/2007 21445 - 21566 hits, can this be right. I have people at my site, but this mean hits out of them?

If you could tell me something else to do to get an more accurate reading this would be great.

It's the spiders that are bumping up your hit counter. Zencart counts them as hits even though they don't actually load a page. You'll also notice banner views going through the roof aswell.
Stick with Google Analytics for a more accurate traffic report

Ok, gotcha. Also, i tried to load go to your site and it took almost 3 minutes to open it. Just giving you the heads up. So how does your site do with zen-cart? We have similar sites in a way mine is http://orgazmictoys.com I am almost ready to open in here in about 1 month. I have been working on my mass upload and pricing of about 26,000 products. However I am going threw the products and taking out the ones that are junk. Good luck on the page rank coming this month. Google says I should be getting a page rank 2, but who knows lol. I am building links right now up to about 750 one way links. 600 are pr4 and above.
