Sub Categories issues

I am having an issue with my sub categories, the sub categories text displays fine after clicking on the top most level link, up until I insert a product to that sub category. After a product is enter to a sub categories the text sub cat text disappears (how ever the picture remains)

See an example of this on

Categories > Bath > Bath Soak (without product, hence text shows correctly)
Categories > Bath > Fizzy Bath Bomb (product added hence not working)

Also is there any way to make sub cat text on main page when first category link is clicked?
