Re: Error: File upload not saved. Help
It looks like the same error here!
Warning: move_uploaded_file() [function.move-uploaded-file]: open_basedir restriction in effect. File(/var/tmp/phpZ5kIn8) is not within the allowed path(s): (/usr/home/****:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php:/tmp) in /usr/home/*****/public_html/gallerij/admin/includes/classes/upload.php on line 112
Does more people have this?
What can we do about it

The file you uploaded was sent from your browser to the webserver into this folder+filename, based on the configuration of your webserver's PHP settings:
/var/tmp/phpZ5kIn8
However, it appears that your webserver's PHP configuration also prevents you from having PHP move the file from its temporary upload location into your webroot area where your main site files are located:
/usr/home/****
Unless you are the sysadmin of the server, there is nothing "you" can do yourself about this.
You will have to have your hosting company correct their PHP configuration by either:
- change the PHP upload_tmp_dir path to the /tmp folder
or
- change the open_basedir restrictions to allow access to the /var/tmp folder
Re: Error: File upload not saved. Help
open_basedir restriction
- this setting is related to Ownership, of a file or dir.
Problems are usually caused by trying to upload somewhere where you do not have Ownership and therefore, do not have access rights. Using 'open_basedir restriction' is a common security measure used by Hosters and does not cause problems when 'path' used is correct.
If you can upload the file using an FTP program but not through the script, you should double-check the 'path' settings in your config files. If you cannot upload using an FTP program then directory Ownership is the problem. Best solution in these type situations is to contact your Hoster. If you cannot figure out the solution, they can. :wink2:
