We have nearly 8,000 customers now. When selecting to send a newsletter it can take up to 30 minutes for the page to load to select who to send it to. Does anybody know a fix for this, or let's figure this out as a team. I am sure this is something happening to others. Luckily I have my own server and can up the timeout to accommodate it.

I suspect that most here with that many customers who publish a newsletter are using an external emailing program like MailChimp.
Why pay for a service if your server allows you to bulk email. Also, not having to update the mailing list every time you send out a newsletter, which I do 2-3 times a week. Does Mailchimp access your database and upload newsletter subscribers or do you have to export them and import them into their system?
