Remove Level 3 Sub category from horizontal dropdown menu?

I have to remove level 3 category items from my horizontal header products menu. I want it to Show all parent categories but not level 3 and beyond. for example this is what I want:
Products
-->Arm Sleeves
-->Headwear
-->Pants

What I have is:
Products
-->Arm Sleeves
-->Team Custom
-->Retail
-->Headwear
-->Sinister
-->Mojo
-->Richardson
-->Pants
-->TYJA
-->Easton

I only want the top categories to show in the product menu instead of drilling down. I was hoping there may be an easy way to do this without hard coding the drop down menu. Thanks in advance.
