Orders with Comments Flag

I need to show which orders have comments in them in a convenient display without having to view the order invoice or email. I would like to see a flag on order listings or something similar which indicates a comment has been added to the order.

Is there a mod that displays comments or a comment flag on order listings?

Does anyone know how this can be acheived?

Comments are in the orders_status_history and this is currently not part of the select statement for the order listing ...

It does show if you click an order to say that there are comments ...

You would need to do join on the orders_status_history table and if the 1st record for the order has a comment, that is the customer comment made in checkout ...

You would be editing the:
/admin/orders.php

file ... note: that there isn't an override for admin files ...
