Communications Error - Please notify webmaster.
When we are trying to run a sale in production mode, we are getting the following error.
Communications Error - Please notify webmaster. - Your credit card could not be authorized for this reason. Please correct the information and try again or contact us for further assistance.
We are using the Merchant E-Solutions Payment Module which can be downloaded from here.

If we put it in test mode, we see all the test trans coming through, and working fine. This only happens when we switch it to Production mode. The customers website is being hosted through the following.

That's a problem your hosting company will have to fix.

Maybe. Maybe not. Could be a DNS problem. Or not. Whatever it is, the server is unable to use CURL to connect to the gateway's servers.
Your hosting company has the tools, and should have the knowledge, on how to fix problems related to their servers.

Thankyou for pointing me in the right direction. We got ahold of the webhost, by email, they said they fixed some routing errors, and now it is working.

I have this problem currently. I contacted the Internet Secure people who said it was the cart. GoDaddy said it was the Internet Secure people. No one will say they can help. I need this fixed by tomorrow morning! H E L P !!!

1. GoDaddy is your first problem. Read up about the nightmares people have when trying to use them for advanced ecommerce sites.
2. Turn off the CURL Proxy Status setting: http://www.zen-cart.com/forum/showthread.php?t=61528
3. Never believe what the first-level support people at GoDaddy tell you. It's pretty clear they're paid on commission or call volume, so they either want to upsell you to another service or get you off the phone as fast as possible so their numbers stay up.

GoDaddy received all of the above and actually gave me resolution that I can fix. I need to find where the IP address is in the code so I can change it. Any help with that?

If you're talking about the ip address for the Internet Secure addon, then it's probably in the files you installed when you installed that addon. Try the includes/modules/payments folder

actually it had nothing to do with the hosting.. i had the exact same issue and it was the fact that zen cart came out with an authorize.net update somewhere around November 1, 2014??? i found the answer here and updated the file and now it works perfectly. should would have been nice to been notified of that without losing a couple weeks sales. http://www.zen-cart.com/showthread.p...64#post1263564
