We wanted to change this red strip and found it to be named 'mega-bk.png' in the abbington mega images folder .
but changing it isnt working .

Got it . it was not Lightbox but Zen Cart itself
Changed the setting in Admin->Configuration->Images->Product Info - Image Medium Suffix
and
Product Info - Image Large Suffix

Thought XAMP was a bit old with the last version in Sept '11, so tried WAMP.
But sometimes old is gold

Checked all files in
/includes/templates/abbington_mega/common
and compared them to the localhost file ; not a single word is different.

BTW we are using WAMPSERVER 2.2

I looked at the source code and found that some how stylesheet.copy.css (which was a backup copy of earlier mod )
stylesheet2.css (which was the original backup copy)...

Was trying to change the background of the store and tried here:
