Just an update, couldn't get this to work but so am using a different cart now.

I believe I am using Ultimate URLS which i downloaded from here.

The products work fine but cannot get the other links to work:

Where can i find 'Ultimate SEO URL' ?

I just followed the instructions in the most recent version.

Uploaded files, and edited/created the .htaccess file where needed.
