I am having a similar problem with my cart.
I get the following error every time an item is added to the cart:
Please update your order ...
Product Name: test product ... Quantity Units errors -...

Also, I have stock management set to false.

The box is now showing, but I still get a nasty error.
Specifically, when someone adds a product to the shopping cart, you get this error:
