Found it! Turns out I did delete it in the header when I was even more of a newb than I am now, I went into the original zc install and copy and pasted the EZ pages stuff to the end and it worked...

Enabled in Footer and Header (Footer works)
There is a different Number in each for the sort order (more than 0)
Enabled in EZ Pages Settings

yes, of course, I had it in the wrong folder. Okay, that is fixed, but of course it has brought up a whole new set of circumstances.

So I thought it might be easier to use the header as my logo, and delete the logo. But when I uploaded it, it was all pixelated. In the meantime, I did everything I could think of to delete the logo...

Went and double checked the files on the server and it turns out that my FTP software wasn't doing the updates I was telling it to...grrr, anyway, this is solved, sorry for silly question.
