Ok I have found the problem myself today after re reading my own post believe it or not.....
If you go through using IE8 and set your PRIVACY settings to anything above medium you get the WHOOPS...

OK this sort of does make sense, because in your office you will have a group policy for IE security or not on all computers meaning they will allow session cookies or have low IE security levels......

This has been going on for ages now and there are a number of non solutions which can't be tested etc...
IE8 compatibility mode seems to be the problem but adding code does not solve the problem, I...
