Adding more Featured/New Product pics

Hi all,
I was curious as to how the example shown on
http://(sorry, site offline)/138/ind...te_dir=classic
is able to have more than 1 product on the side for featured/new products while I can only seem to have just the 1 at any one time. I have tried checking tutorial and the options in Admin > New/Feature/All/Index listing options.
I would also like to add more to the Specials on the other side(how I have set it up) on my site.
Is there a particular setting that I am completely missing? Or an extra added feature that requires a download?

In v1.3.8a, we added a feature where you can define how many products you want in the Featured sidebox, New Sidebox and Specials sidebox by using a value, where 0 is OFF and 1, 2, 3 etc. is the number of products to display ...

Peek in the Configuration ... Maximum Values ... and for the Featured Sidebox, for example:

Random Featured Products for SideBox
Number of random FEATURED products to rotate in the sidebox
Enter the number of products to display in this sidebox at one time.

How many products do you want to display in this sidebox?

Uh...Hey,

Thanks for the reply...but I guess my version is not 1.38a ... its 1.3.5 I think (not 100% sure), its why I was asking as I have tried all thee options in Max. values and experimented with them all.

I am too scared of upgrading as I don't want to lose all 9k products that were manually inputted by myself, and I have no clue as how to back-up (tried it a few times in the past but wasn't confidant to go through with it all).

Is there any other method available?
