Free shipping + Canada Post Mod = XML parsing error

I have one item that I am giving free shipping on. when you go to the check out page to choose the shipping method, the canada post module box reads:

XML parsing error.
If you prefer to use Canada Post as your shipping method, please contact the Store Owner via Email.

The free shipping method also shows up as planned.

I just want to get rid of the canada post shipping option when this item is selected for checkout by it self.. is this possible?

still havn't figured this out.. anyone have an idea?

I just want the canada post mod to not display when free shipping is displayed
