My home page doesn't have any text on it.
Ive tried adding text with Admin/ Tools/ define pages editor, but it doesn't show up on the main page.

Not sure of the cause of your error, but I did notice your URL has double slashes in it when you navigate ...

As to your error, switch to Classic Template, does it work?

When I swtich to the classic template I get the proper message;

Sounds like your template is missing a few things ...

Perhaps compare your template files to the originals to see where things have gone astray ...
