It's not a patch; I wrote custom logic based on the settings the person had.

Hi All,
I just finished creating the code to RE-calculate shipping after a discount has been applied. Currently My shopping cart is using Fast and Easy Checkout plugin and I got it working there but I will try to apply it to a normal checkout process and post the code in the week or so If anyone is still interested.

it would be helpful if ajah or swguy can give me some idea how to get this incorporated to zen-cart or how to create a module of it.

Changing the sort order for Shipping to 900 in "Order Total Modules" helped adding shipping charges after calculating the coupon discount.

I'm having the same problem with the coupon codes making it so people don't have to pay for shipping. How do I get the patch so I can stop this?

Let me chime in with the same kind of problem, I give free shipping for $100, but also offer a group discount of 50% to wholesale customers - the people in this group end up getting free shipping on a $50 purchase. No good for me.

It has nothing to do with the sort order as far as I can tell, I have moved shipping up and down from first to last. It seems to me, no expert, that the problem is that the shipping page comes first so it knows the "subtotal" before it knows the customer gets 50% off, and just says "free shipping on orders over $100". Then it goes to the page where you enter the discounts. But it may be even more complicated than that, I am not an expert by far. Would love for some help or direction here, can't afford to give away free shipping ($10-$15 per order my cost) on a $50 for too long. At least its still restricted to USA :-)
