Test on sub directory using same database

Hello,

When I moved my zencart from my current subdirectory e.g " /store" to the main root, I didn't erase the sub.

So now I have two zencarts one on the main root and the other on the sub directory "/store".

What I was planning to do is to use the sub directory "/store" to test any new additions like modules or changes in template etal before uploading it the root zencart.

It would be using the same database though.

Would that cause any problems? Assuming the changes or tests I make would not use any SQL patch, it should work as a test site right?

Should work, but remember that anything you do to the test installation that writes anything to the database will show in both.

I'd be inclined to copy the database to a new one, just to avoid any problems.
