    Default not shipping to region help

    when i try to ship a product to texas it gives me this error:

    Not Available At This Time
    Sorry, we are not shipping to your region at this time.
    Please contact us for alternate arrangements.

    what should i do to allow shipping to anywhere in the USA? i tried adding a zones definition and attaching it to the free shipping module (free shipping is what i'm using right now) and that only turned the light from green to yellow.

    can anyone please help?

    ok it turns out any state other than ohio (the parent state) is saying its not in the region. i have a zone set up for ohio taxes, and tried to set up another zone like i said above and still a yellow light.

    i had to install zones table rate for multiple zones module and then list every single state i needed in a zone definition, then change the free shipping zone to the new zone definition (i called it usa since its all the states in the usa) and tada it works!

    I'm having a similar issue when I try a test shipment to my own address in New Mexico, which I have a zone/state tax set up for. I've set up the USPS, Free Shipping modules, but haven't set up the Zones shipping because it looks like it would override the USPS Web Tools option (which I know I may be wrong about). USPS and the Free shipping are all set to Shipping Zone [none]. I'm using the most recent version of Zen cart, just downloaded a few days ago. I've read as many threads as I can find, but am still not sure what to do to fix this.

    all i can tell you is try playing with the zones. i dont really know how to help other than that sorry

    Thanks! I think I solved my problem...I have no idea why this works, but it appears to. I had just created one tax zone, one tax definition, for New Mexico gross receipts tax. I added a second tax zone, just called US, and defined it with a 0.00% tax. I set both taxes to the same priority, and now my test mailing to myself is going through and the NM tax is charged appropriately. Phew! Now on to figure out my next problem...
