Default UPS XML Auto Export is missing Top Level Element

When using Worldship 10.0 to Auto Import an XML file from Zen, Worldship shows this error in the log:

    02-Jul-2008 14:01:38 - Starting Session
    02-Jul-2008 14:02:23 - C:\PROGRAM FILES\UPS\WSTD\IMPEXP\XML Auto Import\openShippment.xml Error on line 0, XML document must have a top level element.

Any ideas on how to fix this?

The problem is the file that create the XML put an extra space in the first line of the xml file. If you ever find or know how to find a solution for that please let me know.

BTW: if you open the xml file with notepad and erase this extra space it works like a charm.

I checked a new XML file just now, and in Notepad there does not appear to be an empty space at the beginning as you suggest. The first character is a <.

Here is the error text from the log:

19-Jun-2009 22:11:30 - C:\UPSLAN\UPS\WSTD\IMPEXP\XML Auto Import\openShippment.xml Error on line 31, Element content is invalid according to the DTD/Schema.

    Expecting: {x-schema: OpenShipments.xdr}BillDutyTaxTo, {x-schema: OpenShipments.xdr}SplitDutyAndTax, {x-schema: OpenShipments.xdr}Satur....

I attached a screenshot in which Line 31 can be seen; maybe someone can troubleshoot this for me? Is it simply the misspelling in that line?
