Add weight to Invoice.php even when shipping is Free

I want to be able to have the weight show on the invoice.php even if the shipping is free. Currently it only shows when the customer is charged for shipping.

Can someone advise me how to do this.

The weight is not saved in the order except as text when a regular shipping method is used and the weight is included in the text ...

How big a job would it be to change that. Save order weight to ta table and then pull from it?

How are the orders free if there is weight right now on your site?

We have free shipping on orders over $100.00.

However when preparing for posting we still need to enter the weight into our parcel program. It owuld be nice if the weight was on the Invoice so we could see it a t a glance.

The invoice just shows shipping method. We generally use Austpost which includes the weight into the shipping method statement. I guess?

You could, for ease of use, just pull that info from the products table ...

Is all the weight in the products_weight or do you have weight in the products_attributes_weight as well?

Did you figure out how to add the width to the order table?
What I can find:
What file/function actually writes the information to zen_orders?
Is there a variable name for the weight before it gets included in the text string?
