Default Whoops! Your session has expired. - Returning from Authorize.net

I get this error upon checkout:

    Whoops! Your session has expired.

If you were placing an order, please login and your shopping cart will be restored. You may then go back to the checkout and complete your final purchases.

the url in the browser's address bar reads:
    https://secure.authorize.net/gateway/transact.dll

I've read through the similar threads and found no joy:

I went so far as to install the shop on a different server yet I get the same results.

    Shop: http://awakenedwisdom.com/secureshop/
    Sessions test: http://www.awakenedwisdom.com/session_test.php

Refreshing that page both with and without https shows everything working as expected.

    Ideas? Is this a bug?

What version of Zen Cart are you using?
Which Authorize.net payment module are you using?
Is your site using shared SSL or dedicated?

If you have dedicated SSL, why are you using the SIM module and making people go off to another site in order to provide payment?

You'd likely be better off using the AIM module. It's more reliable and a much more seamless experience for your customers.

Easy, that is what the authorize.net tech guy suggested via phone support. He said; "It doesn't matter".

I switched over to AIM and the Whoops! error has vanished.
