Sending Gift Certificate

I sent a Gift Certificate to one of my friends and I only click on the send button once and it sent her 2 with 2 different codes.

So I tried it again with a test email i had already in my Customers list and I sent one to that one and it sent 2 Gift Certificate again also with 2 different codes.

How do I get it to only send 1 Gift Certificate?

Clean Install or an Upgrade?

What Add-Ons are you using?

Can you do a step by step click for click of exactly how you are sending this Gift Certificate when you are getting two to happen?

Zen Cart 1.3.8a (was stated in first post)

Clean Install

None

Admin > Gift Certificate/Coupons > Mail Gift Certificate

Fill in the information click on send... and it send it twice!

P.S.. and no I do not click on the send twice.. just once but Gift Certificate gets sent twice!

And you are not just seeing your "customer" copy and an "Admin" copy?

Funny, I just tried to send all my customers a small gift certificate to celebrate my 1 year anniversary, and I got 70 in my inbox. I hope they all didn't get 70....I will be out of business!

Any ideas on why I got 70 ...all with different certificate numbers? Maybe I have a setting sending me a copy of each email? I will have to look for that, but figured I would ask the question just in case.

ok, I had a setting in the config/emails to send a copy of the gift certificates to my email....WHEW!!! I thought I had sent each customer $700 worth of gift certificates...LOL

I have the same problem 1.3.7 on all GC sent each person get two with two different codes. I even issued on to myself to test. I received two different emails with two codes with only one generation. Luckily we only use these for admin purposes but since there is no way to delete from the admin and if we ever do have to issue one to a customer this could cause problems later. is there a fix for this?? see below (one I redeemed)

Upgrading to the current version of Zen Cart is always a good idea ...

There are so many bugs and security issues in v1.3.7 it would really be a good idea and then pursue this issue with Gift Certificates if that does not correct the problem ...

As much as I would like too, I can not as it is not my store. It is a clients. I there no known fix for this?
