Autoresponder+ for ZC v1.3.x [support thread]

The autoresponder have been working for a while just fine. We usually send an email to the customers 10 days after shipping to ask for feedback.

In the past 2 days I start having problems. For some reason the autoresponder is being reloaded like 100 times within an hour.

I have the cron set for 2pm everyday which is the same settings that have been working. Monitoring the server it seems that the autoresponder is in an endless loop so it keep being reloaded.

Any suggestions on what might be the reason?

I can't think of any reason why the mod would cause that. If it just suddenly stopped working then maybe your host has changed something. Or maybe someone is reloading it in their browser. You could try changing the name of the autoresponder file. Also try setting up the cron job again in case that's at fault. Have you set up the mod so that it gives the order a new order ID when executed? That will prevent the customer receiving more than one email.

I have set it up on a different server and changed the name of the autoresponder . I just got an email from one angry customer who got the email 30 times.

This is the cron I am running

lynx > /dev/null -dump "http://www.domain-name.com/autoresponder.php"

"autoresponder.php was changed on the server"

I never had it set to change the order id and it was working fine. I don't really want to change the customer status as this will send the customer an email anyway.

Any idea?

When Autoresponder+ changes the order status it doesn't email the customer about it.

This would be the best solution. No customers would get repeat emails.

Added new status {115} now I am getting this error:

1136 Column count doesn't match value count at row 1
in:
[insert into orders_status_history values ( '', '2114', '115', now(), 0, '' )]

Any thoughts? Which file define the sql for the status update?

Fixed it. I have TY Tracker installed which alter the order_status_history table. I added empty value to the insert command and it works now.

Hello -

I have installed this mod, however the discount coupon isn't working. I created a coupon as a template, used the [coupon] tag in the message and put that coupon name in the autoresponder configuration. A code is generated that appears to be a random number but if a customer tries to use the code then they get an "invalid coupon code" if I look up the coupon in the zencart "discount coupons" it shows The Discount Coupon Redemption Code you have entered is for ''.

Any suggestions?

does actually send automatice autoresponder / follow-up emails with tracking - so emails are only send once.

It is modular, so new kind of emails / automatic follow-ups can be added as a module like you know from e.g. payment.

Just about to install this and fell over at the first hurdle! I get an error 500 msg when i run the sql script. I'm using a PHP 4 and PHP5 compatible server and have had another problem associated with this causing other error 500 messages - the word 'from' in the product desription was causing it! My host made a change to a rule and it cured that problem, they also removed #RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f [NC] in htaccess which was causing 30,000 errors a day (oops!)

Any ideas?
