Is it just in payment options?

Is it the same in different browsers?

Have you tried clearing your browser cache?

I've had that happen, but I can't remember what the cause was.

    Thanks for the reply.

Yes, it's just on the payment options.
All browsers show the missing column.
    Cleared cache, no change.

Hoping you can remember what you did.

Might be something here you can use - seems to be the same problem, anyway.

If the right-hand sidebox is missing on your admin page then you've got a PHP error preventing it from getting to the point where it is drawn.

In the case of payment modules, you likely have an error in a module you've uploaded ... either uploaded incorrectly or the module itself has bugs.
Since they're loaded alphabetically, and your screenshot shows "paypal" as the last one loaded, it's likely you've got something with a letter between "Q" and "Z" that's not loading right.

This FAQ (esp step 2a) deals with how to get the system to log PHP errors for easier diagnosis: https://www.zen-cart.com/tutorials/index.php?article=82

Thanks heaps for that advice, found the error as I altered the paypal.php file which was recommended, but I renamed the old file and left it there.

Your debug mod worked perfect, told me exactly what was wrong. Thanks DrByte

    Hi,

I have this exact problem on a fresh installation of Zen Cart, version 1.3.8a. The really strange part is that the payment module screen has loaded correctly occasionally, but never long enough for me to setup the two Paypal modules I need. Usually it cuts the list off after Nochex APC, with no edit box displayed on the right.

I have tried all suggestions I have found on this forum, but nothing has helped.

In fact, the PHP debugging mod didn't produce an error log at all...

The only log in the cache directory is from the installation, and it contains the following warnings:

WARN: PHP API Mode => cgi-fcgi

    WARN: PHP open_basedir restrictions => /home:/tmp:/usr
WARN: PHP Output Buffering (gzip) => OFF

Could some of those be causing this kind of problems? Because I had a "practice installation" on another server earlier and there I didn't have this problem.

I would really appreciate any help on this.

Actually, in my case, this seems to be more of a "browser-cookie-compatibility thing". I usually use Firefox (3.01) exclusively, but when I switched to Internet Explorer I actually could setup the Payment modules...but only after clearing the browser cookies, history etc.

So I tried clearing cookies in Firefox, but with this browser the same error keeps happening.

    Very strange indeed

As long as it doesn't affect the functionality of my site it is not that big a deal of course, but if you think this might lead to other problems down the road I would love a heads up.

Okay, so at least for me this turned out to be a problem with the hosting company. Their environment wasn't very Zen Cart friendly and ran all PHP as CGI, among other things...

When I switched to another webhost I got rid of this problem.

So to anyone suffering the same or similar problems I highly recommend trying to run Zen Cart using a different host and see if that helps.
