Problem Setting Up USPS

Hi,

Thanks for a wonderful piece of software.

I have a little problem with setting up the USPS module. It says "We are unable to find a USPS shipping quote suitable for your mailing address and the shipping methods we typically use.
If you prefer to use USPS as your shipping method, please contact us for assistance.
(Please check that your Zip Code is entered correctly.)".

I've set the zip code, have obtained a web tools ID and contacted USPS to move it to production mode (just hours ago), set the weights for the products, and installed then enabled it.

any ideas? thanks in advance.

Found the problem. I used the Password instead of the ID. Working ok so far..

Though the weight it's using to calculate the shipping is wrong. 4lbs worth of item is showing up as .92lbs.. anybody experienced this?

EDIT:

ok that was my bad.. it's calculating in pounds but theres an extra .xx added.. my 1lb item is 2 X 0.55 which is 1.1lbs.. is this normal?

ha ha.. it was the tare settings.. set it to 0 and its showing as i wanted.. found the solution on other post.. THANK YOU!!

Thanks for posting the solution to the shipping weight problem that you were having that resulted from the Tare Weight in the Shipping/Packaging ... always a help to others ...
