Default How to get the header search bar into the nav bread crumb?

    Hello!

I want the search bar and the search button from the nav main wrapper and down to the nav bread crumb.

Actually I'm not 100% sure where I want it, but Ill try the bread crumb first, so I was hoping someone could telle me what code I have to copy and where to paste it to get it in the bread crumb.

Btw, this free webshop is one of the better things the internet has to offer.

    Thanks.

That's probably not a good idea -- for most sites at least. Why? Because the bread crumb can get arbitrarily large and would push the search box over too far or make it wrap to the next line.

You may be viewing your site with a full-width browser, so it would look like that will never happen. But you should know that many people will not see your site that wide, perhaps because they have a smaller screen or (like me) they just prefer to browse with a smaller window so they can see other windows on screen.

Why did I say "for most sites"? Because you may sell only a few products on a few pages, so the breadcrumbs won't get very long. So maybe it will work for you. In which case, someone else will have to help, since I don't know much about moving PHP code around within ZC.

Even with 800x600 resolution there is no problems having the search bar in the nav bread crumb. Even if you not have your browsers window maximized the width of the breadcrumb will always be the same, so on my page there is no problems with having the search bar placed into the nav bread crumb.

But thank you for your answer, I had to try out different "worst case scenarios" after reading it, but looks like there is no problem.

Interesting. On my sites I could easily push the search box and its title off too far to the right if it was in the breadcrumb line. I must have long category and product names. ;-)
