From what I've read in many of the posts here, so far, a dedicated ip/server is a better choice than a shared ssl for the server.
My question is what is the risk associated with the shared server?
I haven't installed Zen Cart yet, because I just don't feel comfortable doing so,
without knowing the risk of shared ssl for the server.
The hosting service has given me the URL for the shared ssl; and I believe I could get Zen Cart installed ok, if I go through with it.
The Host Service person has suggested that my client spend $2.00/month more for a dedicated IP, allowing his URL to be an HTTPS .
I told my client that, and he was willing to pay it.
I just want to hear it from the experts (this board), the reasons a shared SSL is not as secure as a dedicated ip...
What do you think?
Thanks for any and all of your help.
Rick..
