Missing language files or directories ...

Hi. Unfortunately i am not able to install any language pack.
I have zencart 1.3.8 installed.
I have tried the Greek, German and Turkish language packs so far and always comes the same error message when i try to install the language pack from the admin site:
MISSING LANGUAGE FILES OR DIRECTORIES ...

but i have uploaded the files into

admin/includes/languages/language.php
admin/includes/languages/<language>/

includes/languages/language.php
includes/languages/<language>/

I have no idea why does not finds the directory.
Perhaps i should use http://localhost in configure.php than http://shop.mysite.com ?
Or disable https ?

I would appreciate any help

Ok I solved this issue myself.

I have temporally disabled https and installation of language packs works perfectly.

Strange but anyway, I hope the zencart team could provide some explanations or fix this bug.

maybe you willl find some help in the link http://www.zen-cart.com/wiki/index.php/Languages. Ive been trying myself to work zen cart 1.3.7.1 with both greek and english languages. I still have some problems (not all greek output is encoded right).

actually i encounter the same problem just now.
but i find my problem is the Directory.

i set the chinese directory to
http://www.kissmama.com/includes/lan...udes/languages
it's very wrong indeed.

after compare with the english directory .
http://www.kissmama.com/includes/languages/english.

i change my directory to
http://www.kissmama.com/includes/languages/schinese.
then everything is ok now........

OK Guys, I give up, I tried everything to solve my problem with setting an override system by adding my own English language folder to prevent overwrite my own files during any updates, now, I'm too expert in zencart but what I did I just duplicated the English folder and the english.php and I renamed them to my own ! so is that all ? do I need to make any adjustment into any file within the new English folder or in english.php? because when ever l try to activate that directory I got a message in yellow at the top of the page in admin panel says


MISSING LANGUAGE FILES OR DIRECTORIES

.. Please help

Well, i just made fresh installation of Zen cart 1.3.9 and have installed Serbian language for front-end part. After that I noticed in my admin section yellow line with Missing languages files or directories... Then I installed Serbian language for admin part also and yellow line disappeared.

And a small additional remark: if all of your files vanish, that means: in the language you installed there is no translation for the admin area. Grrrrr.
