    Default newsletter subscribe problem

    Hi I installed the newsletter subscribe module on 1.3.8a and it all seems to work ok apart from when i go to :
    TOOLS > SEND EMAILS > i get the following error:

    Code:
    1267 Illegal mix of collations (latin1_general_ci,IMPLICIT) and (latin1_swedish_ci,IMPLICIT) for operation 'locate'
    in:
    [SELECT s.email_address as customers_email_address FROM zen_subscribers as s LEFT JOIN zen_configuration as q on LOCATE( s.email_address, q.configuration_value) >= 1 WHERE configuration_key = 'NEWSONLY_SUBSCRIPTION_TEST_GROUP' ]
    If you were entering information, press the BACK button in your browser and re-check the information you had entered to be sure you left no blank fields.
    additionally when I try to send a newsletter I get the following:
    Code:
    Newsletter and Product Notifications Manager
    1267 Illegal mix of collations (latin1_general_ci,IMPLICIT) and (latin1_swedish_ci,IMPLICIT) for operation 'locate'
    in:
    [SELECT s.email_address as customers_email_address FROM zen_subscribers as s LEFT JOIN zen_configuration as q on LOCATE( s.email_address, q.configuration_value) >= 1 WHERE configuration_key = 'NEWSONLY_SUBSCRIPTION_TEST_GROUP' ]
    If you were entering information, press the BACK button in your browser and re-check the information you had entered to be sure you left no blank fields.
    Help!

    regards
    Andy

    BACKUP YOUR DB BEFORE PROCEEDING

    Actually if youu have to ask then this might not be something you should be messing with....

    Load phpmyadmin and your DB, and you will see a column titled "Collation" - check the tables and all should be the same.

    If not check the box next to each table name for those that need adjusting and select the operations tab. Find the Collation area and select the correct Collation from the drop box and "GO".

    Reload the DB and check that you are now set to the same Collation for all tables
