Trouble with adding multiple images to one product

I am using 1.3.7...

I have two images for one product:

Numbers272WM.jpg
Numbers272WM_1.jpg

Only one image will display...both are in same directory with file permission 777 (public_html/images)

I have set Product Type - General to
Show Product Additional Images - True

Configured images:

Product Info - Number of additonal images per row to 3

Why will only one image show?
