Only allow certain products to ship California

How can I allow only certain products to be shipped to California?

I understand the use of Zones and payment/shipping module restrictions that will deny ALL products from going to California. That is how I have it setup up right now.

...But how can I allow some of my products to be shipped to California and some not? I hate to deny all my customers in California all my products when really there are only a few that cannot be shipped there due to federal regulations.

I suppose the lack of response means it is probably not easily possible?

You would need some method to flag these products that cannot ship to CA and when they are in the cart and a customer logs in it would stop them until either they remove from the cart or they cannot check out ...

This can be done, just takes some thought and coding to test all of that ...

Dang! Not the response I was hoping for but I appreciate it nonetheless.

Thanks Ajeh. I just thought I was overlooking the ability to do what I want somewhere in the shipping modules.

My next idea is to impose a ridiculous tax class to deter residents of California. Say $999,999.99 or something? Couldn't I do that somehow?
